Cuisine in the Corn

Join us for a magical evening filled with delicious food, wine, and fun!

As the crickets chirp and the sun begins to set in the western sky, the hayrack meanders across the field to transport the diners to another world - to deliver them to Cuisine in the Corn!

Experience the enchantment at the 7th Annual Cuisine in the Corn!

This unique dining experience begins with an hors d’ oeuvres hour with complimentary beer and wine at 5:00pm. Diners will then be transported by hayrack to the middle of a bright green cornfield where they will be seated at one long, seemingly endless, elegantly-adorned table. A four-course meal will be served by candlelight.

Guests will feel as if they are seeing Iowa for the first time. The tall corn rising from the Bloomsbury Farm field provides the perfect backdrop for this elegant evening. One long table with white linens, china, candles and wooden chairs for elbow- to-elbow conversation create a captivating atmosphere like no other. Plan now to be a part of this magical event!

Seating is limited to 200 and the event is expected to be a sell-out, so make your reservations soon! Flat shoes are recommended. Proceeds from Cuisine in the Corn will benefit Four Oaks. 

This year we are proud to announce that Bloomsbury Farm will again be partnering with Four Oaks to host the 7th-annual Cuisine in the Corn! Four Oaks, a non-profit child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health agency founded in 1973 and headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offers services to children and families in all 99 Iowa counties. Four Oaks, and its affiliates, serves more than 14,000 people annually throughout the state. Four Oaks carries out its mission to “assure children become successful adults” by providing holistic prevention, intervention, and treatment programs and services.

Cuisine in the Corn will begin with a Cocktail Hour from 5:00-6:00 in the Party Barn. Delicious appetizers will be served during this time and complimentary beer and wine will be available as well. Alcohol will be free-flowing throughout the event.  Guests will be transported, by hayrack, to the elegant dinner table located in the corn field.

Dinner will be served at 6:30pm.
