Field Trips

Karen Petersen teaching kids all about the farm.

For the fall session, kids can learn about the fascinating life of a farmer, from the daily duties to what corn and beans are made into after they leave the farm. Activities includes a Hayrack Ride, The Pumpkin Patch, Mini Put, Grandma's Play house, Corn Maze, Straw Jump and an Inflatable Caterpillar.

Bring a sack lunch or snack and we will set up the Party Barn for them to enjoy.

If you don't bring anything, we can provide the snack for you (with advance notice, of course)!

Bloomsbury tour guide educating kids about the Barnyard Buddies: Goats, llamas, rabbits, peacocks, chickens, miniature donkeys.

Teachers & Educators:
Contact karen@bloomsburyfarm.com or call 319-446-7667 to book a field trip that guarantees to stimulate young minds!

On any given day at Bloomsbury Farm, the sounds of happy children fill the air. They are mucking about in the barns, finding their way out of a maze, exploring Grandma's Playhouse, bouncing about on a hayrack ride, or enjoying a snack at the Pumpkin Grill and Cafe. Bloomsbury Farm prides itself on providing positive, enjoyable and educational experiences on the farm for children of all ages. This year kids will sprout their curiosity about agriculture, natural resources, food and people in our "Growing On The Farm" program. They will also take a plant of their own home, and see if they can make it grow.
